Do you accept insurance?

Anna currently sees therapy clients at two practice locations , Empowerment Within LLC in Waukesha, WI and Integrated Counseling LLC in Milwaukee, WI. Each practice accepts different insurance plans for individual counseling. Couples and relationship counseling is private pay only at both locations. Visit the therapy page to learn more about insurance options at each location. Superbills are available upon request for clients who wish to seek out of network reimbursement from their insurance provider.

What is Brainspotting and how is it different from traditional talk therapy?

Brainspotting is a brain-body based therapy that works by identifying specific eye positions that correlate with unprocessed trauma or emotional experiences stored in the brain and body. Unlike traditional talk therapy which relies primarily on verbal processing, Brainspotting accesses deeper levels of the brain where trauma and distressing experiences are held. Many clients find it particularly effective for trauma, anxiety, and experiences that feel difficult to put into words. Anna is trained in Brainspotting Phases 1 and 2 and integrates it alongside other approaches based on each client's individual needs.

Too many therapy spaces claim to be affirming while still operating from frameworks rooted in bias. Too many therapists pathologize identities rather than honoring them. Anna's practice is built on a fundamentally different foundation. Every session is a space where your identity, your relationships, and your way of moving through the world are not problems to be solved. They are parts of you to be honored. If you have felt unseen, over-pathologized, or misunderstood in past therapy experiences, Anna's approach was specifically designed with you in mind.

Anna works with couples and partners in ENM, polyamorous, and kink-affirming relationships, as well as queer and LGBTQ+ partnerships and neurodivergent couples. Using Imago Relationship Therapy and Attachment Theory, Anna supports partners in understanding the deeper patterns and wounds that show up in their relationship and building the kind of conscious, authentic connection they actually want. Couples and relationship counseling is private pay only at both practice locations.
